Actual Case Study - Summary
Oil analysis done on numerous class 8 Cummins diesel engines' oil using our bypass filtration product with our special 2 micron filtering media. Oil was reviewed every 20,000 miles by the trucking company and engineering experts at the engine manufacturer. Wear metals, TBN, soot were well below the manufacturer's specifications. Even after 100,000 miles on the oil, changing ONLY the bypass filter every 20,000 miles, the oil still exceeded all OEM specifications. Findings:
- Parts wear is greatly reduced.
- Equipment life and reliability greatly increased.
- Surprisingly, this level of filtration resulted in a 3% increase in fuel economy. (a surprise but a very nice one)
- The engine manufacturer agreed... the oil is still performing all of it's required functions even at those high oil change interval levels.
